Minnesota Real Estate Investing 101 Seminar

I am excited that we will be hosting a Real Estate Investing 101 Seminar on Wednesday, March 26, 6:30-8:00pm in Burnsville. This seminar will be a one and a half hour presentation in regards to wealth building through real estate. There is no charge at all, no contracts you sign with us, no consultation fees, no hidden agenda. The seminar simply will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about our process: how you get pre-approved, what type of low-down loan product to choose, and then how we step you through the process of finding the home and helping you get it rented out.

Call 952-649-1456 to register and get exact directions. Tell them Scott Ficek told you to call!

Hi, Scott..

Are you finding that lenders are becoming more willing to accept short sales?

Yes. It took them a while, but they are much more responsive to talk about a short sale instead of letting the property go into foreclosure and have all the issues associated with that.

Seminars can be very helpful in this cautious times we are in and this will allow people to learn and ask questions and make informed descisions. I love to hear that realtors and lenders are offering classes and think this is whats gonna move the inventory we have and have a positive effect on the economy.

Make Money-
I understand link building and such. In fact, Courtney Tuttle is one of my favorite reads on the blog-o-sphere.

But, I only approve real comments. You have posted several comments with the same text, while pushing your URL. I will continue to delete your comments unless you contribute to the discussion.

I am a property investment seminar fan because I usually get a fresh perspective and learn something new. One good tip makes it worthwhile.

How to Buy a HUD Home

How to Buy a HUD Home(1)

In the past 12 months, I have been showing and selling many more HUD properties.  I would estimate that 1 in 10 are HUD listings up from 1 in 100 just 2 years ago.  The process is much different than buying a typical REO and you need an experienced agent that can help you navigate [...]

How Low Can We Offer?

How Low Can We Offer?(3)

I have been getting that question more and more every day with my customers.  I answered that question a long time ago about Low Ball offers on foreclosed properties.  That is current my number 1 post on this blog and has almost 60 comments on it.  Although I wrote this post almost 2 years ago, [...]

The Offer Conspiracy Theory

The Offer Conspiracy Theory(2)

I just had it happen again today.  Property has been on the market for 75 days.  I checked with the listing agent last night, no offers.  We wrote up an offer and I sent it in around noon today.  He writes me back at 2pm and says he now has 2 more offers.  What!?!#@%
This has [...]

Short Sale Terminology

Short Sale Terminology(0)

I got a great question from a long time reader, John Gall, today.  He asked:
When I look at the [other company's] site which I’m sure pulls from MLS I’m seeing the following status on the listings.  It would be interesting to have an explanation of why one is chosen vs another.  Some are obvious but [...]

Pre-Approved Short Sales

Pre-Approved Short Sales(1)

So, you read this siren call on the MLS listing that say “Pre-Approved short sale, quick closing possible”.  You get all excited; maybe this short sale will be different.  You get an accepted offer and 4 months later you are still waiting for that “quick closing”.  It happens to me all the time.  I have [...]
